Description
B.U.D.S. maintains a list of users who are allowed to use the software. Such users are referred to as a registered technicians. Each registered technician is assigned a username and a password. The password prevents unauthorized users from logging into B.U.D.S. and other registered technicians from using somebody else's username.
To add a new registered technician
| 2. | Select Technicians... from the Tools menu. |
| 3. | Click on the Add Technician button. |
| 4. | Fill in the technician Username, First Name, Last Name, Password and Confirm Password zones. |
| 5. | Click on the Technician window OK button. |
| 6. | Repeat step 3 to 5 for each new technician that you want to add. |
| 7. | Click on the Registered Technicians window OK button. |
To modify a registered technician
| 2. | Select Technicians... from the Tools menu. |
| 3. | Click on the technician that you want to modify. |
| 4. | Click on the Modify Technician button or double-click on the technician. |
| 5. | Modify the technician Username, First Name, Last Name, Password and Confirm Password zones. |
| 6. | Click on the Technician window OK button. |
| 7. | Repeat step 3 to 6 for each technician that you want to modify. |
| 8. | Click on the Registered Technicians window OK button. |
To remove a registered technician
| 2. | Select Technicians... from the Tools menu. |
| 3. | Click on the technician that you want to remove. |
| 4. | Click on the Remove Technician button. |
| 5. | Click on the Registered Technicians window OK button. |
Note. The password must be at least 4 character long while the username, first and last names must be at least 2 character long. The password and names are limited to a maximum of 64 characters each. You must enter the same passord twice to validate it.
