Errors 404-411:  Kw2000 protocol communication failure

Description

The MPI® detected an error while communicating with a module using the Kw2000 protocol.

Possible causes

1.Module power source failure.
2.Bad connection between the MPI and the module.
3.Electrical noise on communication lines.
4.Internal MPI failure.
5.Internal module failure.

Suggested actions

1.Remove the key from the vehicle DESS® post until B.U.D.S. considers that no module is present and then insert the key again.  You may have to momentarilly press the vehicle's start button.
2.Verify the module's power source voltage.
3.Verify all connections between the MPI and the module (VCK, MPI-2).
4.Try the command again.
5.Reset the MPI.
6.Call your service representative to report the error.
