To connect the MPI® to a personal watercraft equipped with a 717 or a 787 engine
| 1. | Connect one end of the DESS® adapter into the 6-pin adapter. |
| 2. | Connect the other end of the DESS adapter to the DESS post of the vehicle. |
Note
Once the DESS adapter is inserted on the DESS post of the vehicle, the computer has approximately 30 seconds to initiate communication with the vehicle. If the computer did not detect the vehicle within this delay, then remove the DESS adapter from the DESS post of the vehicle and insert it again.
