To connect the MPI® to a personal watercraft equipped with a RFI engine
| 1. | Connect the 4-pin adapter into the 6-pin adapter. |
| 2. | Disconnect the DESS® post connector from the vehicle harness. |
| 3. | Connect the 4-pin male connector into the DESS post connector. |
| 4. | Connect the 4-pin female connector into the vehicle harness. |
| 5. | Insert a DESS key on the DESS post of the vehicle. |
Note
Once the DESS key is inserted on the DESS post of the vehicle, the computer has approximately 30 seconds to initiate communication with the vehicle. If the computer did not detect the vehicle within this delay, then remove the DESS key from the DESS post of the vehicle and insert it again.
